FEBRUARY 2020 - The multipurpose sports court and play area continue to be well used and the school children appear to love burning off their energy once school is out.  The court remains free of charge, however, donations are always gratefully accepted, bookings can be made through Mike at the Village Shop and Post Office.

2019 was a very busy year with many new "groups" using the court on a regular basis for football, tennis and basketball.  A new venture of over 50's walking football commenced and appears to be proving very popular - this is a great way to exercise and socialise and is open to both men and women.  The Race Night held in the summer was a great success and the committee are busy looking at ideas for a similar event this summer. The bonfire and firework display proved popular once again despite the dreadful weather and over 750 brave people came along and enjoyed the event.

A much needed new tennis net has now been purchased and will be in place shortly and the basketball nets and football nets are due to be replaced.

The Quartergreen committee continue to raise funds for the upkeep and maintenance of the multipurpose sports court which has become extremely popular and is in almost constant use, providing enjoyment and exercise for all ages. These facilities belong to all so please use them with respect and support us in our fundraising efforts.

Further details of Quartergreen events can be found on our website and Facebook page, plus the village magazine and please keep a look out for posters and banners around the village.

With best wishes - The Quartergreen Committee
